Agility Training Builds Confidence, Coordination & Connection

Agility is a fun, fast-paced activity that strengthens the bond between you and your dog while improving confidence, coordination, and communication. Whether you're aiming for competition or just looking for a fun way to exercise together, agility is a rewarding experience for both dog and handler.

Agility training is a competitive dog sport where the dogs race against a time clock as they navigate an obstacle course of jumps, tunnels, weave poles, and contact equipment to test the teamwork, communication, and responsiveness between the handler and the dog. The sport promotes physical fitness, provides mental stimulation for the dog and the handler, with a goal of completing the course with the fastest time and accuracy.

Fun, fast-paced excitement, and rewarding for everyone.

Puppy Beginner (ages 6–12 months)

For young dogs who’ve completed a Puppy or Manners course. Introduces basic agility concepts in a safe, fun way.

Beginner (Intro 1) (ages 12–18 months)

For dogs new to agility. Covers basic equipment and handling skills.

Intro 2 (ages 1 year and older)

For dogs with some experience who are still building comfort and confidence on equipment.

Agility 1 (Skills) (ages 1 year and older)

For dogs familiar with all equipment, including inline weaves. Focuses on developing handling and obstacle skills.

Sequencing Level (1 year and older)

For dogs proficient on all equipment. Emphasizes running full sequences with accuracy and flow.

K9 Canine Parkour (Urban Agility)

Explore the world of canine parkour, where dogs build confidence, coordination, and creativity by interacting with real-world obstacles - think park benches, curbs, logs, and playgrounds. This low-pressure activity is adaptable for any age or breed and strengthens the bond between dog and handler.

 

No special equipment needed - just a love for adventure!

For dogs 6 months and up with basic manners.

Parkour 101

A beginner-friendly introduction to canine parkour. You and your dog will learn foundational parkour moves like balance, jump, crawl, and "go around" in safe, guided environments. Perfect for shy dogs, active pups, or anyone wanting a fun new challenge.

Parkour 102

Take your parkour skills to the next level! This intermediate class expands on the basics by introducing more complex sequences, environmental problem-solving, and increased confidence-building exercises in varied settings.

Trick Dog Classes

Trick training is a fun, motivational way to improve focus, build confidence, and strengthen your bond with your dog. These classes follow the AKC Trick Dog Title Program, from Novice to Expert, and are open to all dogs 4 months and older.

Trick Dog Novice

Great for beginners! Build on basic skills while teaching fun and functional tricks. You’ll have the opportunity to earn your AKC Novice Trick Title by demonstrating learned tricks in class.

Trick Dog Intermediate (Tricks ‘N Clicks)

For dogs with prior training (recommended: Puppy 2 or Foundations). Learn more advanced tricks like “Roll Over,” “Go to Spot,” “Bring the Remote,” and more! Strengthen your clicker training skills, explore shaping techniques, and unlock your dog’s creative potential through fun and engaging challenges.

Puppy Sports

Agility - Puppy Beginner (ages 6 - 12 months)

Barkour Babies: Puppy Parkour Foundations

Give your pup a confidence boost with Barkour Babies, a playful introduction to puppy parkour! This course teaches young dogs to safely explore their environment using everyday objects and low-impact obstacles. Puppies will learn foundational moves like “Paws Up,” “Under,” and “Over,” while building coordination, focus, and trust with their handler.
 

Perfect for boosting confidence, body awareness, and teamwork, this class offers fun physical and mental enrichment tailored to your puppy’s age and ability. Whether your pup is bold or bashful, Barkour Babies sets the stage for a lifetime of adventurous learning!

Rally Classes

Intro to Rally

Intro to Rally teaches you and your dog the basics of Rally Obedience, a fun, teamwork-focused sport where dogs and handlers navigate a course of obedience stations together. This class introduces the core signs, foundation skills, and teamwork needed for success in Rally, all through positive reinforcement. Great for improving leash skills, attention, and communication while strengthening your bond. No prior Rally experience needed - just bring your dog and your sense of fun!

K9 Nose Work® Classes

K9 Nose Work® is a fun and engaging scent detection sport inspired by professional working dogs. It taps into your dog’s natural hunting instincts by teaching them to search for specific odors hidden in various environments. Great for dogs of all ages, breeds, and personalities, it builds confidence, mental focus, and provides enriching exercise - especially beneficial for shy, reactive, or high-energy dogs. Best of all, it's a one-dog-at-a-time activity, making it low-stress and accessible for everyone.

K9 Nose Work® Level 1: Intro to K9 Nose Work® (Beginner)

Unleash your dog’s natural sniffing superpowers! This beginner-friendly class introduces the exciting sport of K9 Nose Work®, where dogs learn to search for hidden treats or toys in a variety of environments. It's perfect for building confidence, focus, and mental enrichment especially for shy or reactive dogs. No prior training is necessary, and dogs work one at a time to ensure a stress-free experience.

K9 Nose Work® Level 2: Intro to Odor (IM1)

Take your dog’s scent detection skills to the next level! In this class, teams are introduced to the first target odor (birch) used in official K9 Nose Work® trials. Building on the skills from the beginner course, dogs will learn to find and alert to odor in containers, interiors, and more. Great for continuing the fun and preparing for competition or just enjoying the game with your dog. Completion of Level 1 or instructor approval required.
 

The Better Companion Nose Work Classes are 90-minute classes.

Fit Dog 101
